College life can be tough, and the ‘real’ world is tougher. Whether you already have a plan for your career or just want to have someone as a sounding board as you process the future, our college mentorship program is an excellent opportunity to enhance your college experience.

We do not pretend to have all the answers, but our team consists of consultants, engineers, scientists, artists, and other professionals who want to walk alongside you on your journey and enable you to make confident decisions in your career.

As a VI scholar, you will engage with the Foundation’s leadership and get to know a little bit more about yourself with mentors who have walked similar paths. We are looking for the next generation of leaders who desire to have a positive impact on the world. Beyond college, you will belong to this lifelong network and our hope is that you will lift others up throughout your career.

To learn more about the application & selection process , please reach out to your school’s AVID coordinator. You must be a high school student in Fort Bend ISD’s AVID program in order to be eligible to apply.

Eligibility

  • Currently enrolled as a high school student in Fort Bend ISD

  • Currently enrolled in your school’s AVID program

  • committed to full-time admission in an accredited 4-year undergraduate degree program

  • Exposure to mentors from a wide array of industries and backgrounds

  • A Mentor/Mentee relationship is two way street, and we expect to learn from you as much as you will learn from us!
